Dear Councilmembers: I am writing to express my concerns regarding the Citys proposal to convert three downtown parking lots into affordable housing. While I understand the importance of expanding affordable housing, it is equally important that we thoroughly assess how such developments might affect parking, traffic, and downtown businesses, especially as there are already many retail vacancies downtown. In addition, I strongly encourage the City Council to engage more deeply with residents and local business owners to ensure that their voices are heard and that their concerns are taken into account. It is important that we all work together to strike a balance between promoting affordable housing and preserving the character and functionality of our downtown. Thanks for your consideration.
